A perfect drift in the bridge pool on the Awe

It was an early booking, and Courtney was well aware that the conditions would be tough, with low water and very early for the Awe, but there was a slim chance of a springer, or even just a kelt or sea trout, so we gave it a good go!

Firing them across at the tail of the Dalvarch poo;

Courtney is an accomplished single hand fly caster, and it didn't take her long to get the hang of a spey rod and was consistently firing it out across the current.

Finally a fish for Courtney!

Unfortunately it wasn't to be, so we nipped onto Loch Etive to ensure she caught a fish on her Scotland holiday! Even this wasn't easy with a bitter easterly wind, but we managed a fish in a beautiful sunset!

Just check out that casting!
