Evening dash for wild brownies off the top

Sela, Mika & Noam managed to squeeze in the calendar for an evening session with a message the day before, and we were all very glad to be getting out on another perfect evening for fishing on the surface.

Water levels were low, exposing areas we don't often get to fish, but allowed us to patrol the drop-offs very successfully, perfect for getting aggressive takes on muddlers on the surface.

Noam picked up the casting early on and was into a couple fish early on, punching low roll casts into a tricky crosswind. We worked out way around the bay to hit some sheltered water, and I instructed Noam to keep casting as we walked further on to see if anything would come up from the depths under the steep bank. A few minutes later he came over missing a fly, and a tale of the big one that got away, on 4X tippet, so its a fish I definitely will be going back for!!

Mika was next up to bend into a fish, playing it brilliantly by hand to land a stunning looking fish that hit a muddler very aggressively off the top in the shallows.

It wasn't to be for Sela as we run out of light before he could land one of the many hits he got!

Hopefully we will see a round 2 when they get back to Scotland!
