Well, it is the eve of the 2026 Brown Trout season, and we are raring to go!
So how about a quick roundup of last years fishing to whet the appetite?
Now, I am terrible at remembering to take photos, my main aim for this next year!

The year kicked off with beautiful sunny days and plenty of brownies in the higher lochs near Oban

We had some early luck on the pike lures too on Loch Awe

Glencoe fished well for the first half of the year with a steady stream of fish before the mid-summer heat meant it slowed up in August
We switched to the river during the late summer heat, with good success near Tyndrum
Matt joined Oban Angling Adventures during the summer, there will be lots more photos of him this year! hopefully he will manage to get the whole fish in the picture this time...
Trout weren't the only fish on the list near Glencoe, with some good perch caught too

More Glencoe perch for Connor!

Glencoe continuing to fish well for brown trout in the hills!

The happiest client of the year! Over the moon with a good few trout caught on a wonderful day out
The highlight of my personal fishing was managing to get out on the Awe on closing day for a go myself, and landing a beautiful male salmon just in time!
