PB Pollack & On the fly

A tricky wind faced OAA on a day off, but I was determined to get some bigger fish on the fly. We headed out to recce a new mark, Connor fishing with lures and myself with my 10 wt and heavy sinking line.
We worked a few hundred metres of shore, picking up a couple of smaller fish before evening set in and the pollack came in closer to shore.
Not a long report, but I had a couple 3 lbers that bent the rod in half satisfactorily on a couple of deceivers I had tied a few weeks ago and hadn't had the chance to use. A great fly for windy conditions as they have a large profile despite being lightweight.
Then Connor hooked up and shouted that it was a better fish than his previous few. I ran across with the net to help out- when I arrived he said "We wont need it, it's just there!" I looked around confused and then realised the rock I was away to stand on was the back of a huge pollack. Congrats on a new PB. We didn't have scales with us in classic fashion, but we are thinking maybe a double?
