Last Minute Evening Session

Working at Anglers Corner in Oban, there are a fair few groups of people coming into the shop each day asking for advice. I gave my card to Michael after they bought some pollack (pollock..) lures so they could give me a shout for some marks because they said they were struggling a little to find fish.

The next day, they had one evening left of their holiday and asked if I had some time spare on the next evening to try and get them some fish, so we headed out towards Lochgilphead to try the rocks and some deeper water than that of Loch Feochan that they were trying in.

It didn't take too long to find the fish. I got a fish of 3 lb off a point that I had run to to test out while the guys tried the bay.

I called them over, and before long, Michael had 2 nice sized fish of 4 lbs. Unfortunately his son didn't get one in the end, despite doing all the right things. It wasn't a long session, we had just planned a couple of hours, but now they knew what they were doing they had the next morning to try again.

Fish all round for the family!

Here's hoping for some more pollack trips- I reckon a 50 fish day isn't far away!!
